Toddler Sides Up

I have not done too many toddler styles lately because well let me just be honest my toddler has a mind of her own and hates getting her hair done.  I used to think that kids with a sensitive head was because the parents never did their hair. Wow was I wrong, my toddler has such a sensitive head that it hurts just to pull her sides up.  With that said I did manage to get pictures of this fun simple style.

First I took a small amount of the front of her hair and pulled it to the side and secured it with an elastic.
Then I pulled both the sides back into a single ponytail securing it with an elastic.
A short explanation on the hair accessory.  In our schools the new fad for girls is to take embroidery floss and mixing 2 colors together, and putting it together on a bobbie pin.  I will post a link to instructions on how to make your own hair accessories.
If this fad hasn't hit your daughters school then you can be the first.

Sides Back with Braids

Pull her sides back but leave about an inch of hair just above her ears on each side (this is going to be braided)
Take the 1" hair and make a braid.  Do this on both sides then pull the braids toward the sides back ponytail and secure them overlapping each other with bobbie pins.

Sides Up into Outie Braid

On this style you are going to make an outie braid rather than a flat braid.
I wanted the braid to pop out.
In order to get an out braid rather than a flat braid you cross the hair under instead of over.
I started the braid on her left side and braided her bangs back and continued to frenchbraid until all her sides were pulled into the braid.  Finish braiding the hair to the ends.

The right side is much easier I only frenchbraided it for about 3 crossovers then continue the braid all the way to meet the other braid.  Secure in the middle of her head with an elastic.

4 Mini Rolls to Ponytail

For this fun style start by making 4 small rolls as shown below and secured them with elastics.
I made the rolls diagonally across the top of her head.
Then I took the side hair from both sides and pulled it into an elastic with the ends of all 4 rolls.
Below shows a top view of the rolls and sides pulled up.
Then pull all the her hair into a ponytail.  I took a small piece of hair and wrapped the elastic with her hair.
Finally I made large ringlets in her ponytail hair.

Toddler Rolls to Sides Up

Start by making a part I always use the far lateral part and I made 4 small rolls across the front of her head as shown below.
Then take the remaning hair on both sides and pull towards the middle of her head.  **Note** Include the hair from the 4 small rolls.
Below is the top view
Last we added ringlets with a flat iron.

Toddler 3 rolls to Sides Up

First wet the hair this will keep the rolls in place better.  Then I made 3 rolls across the front top of her head as shown below.  I used small bobbie pins to keep them in place until I secure the sides up.
Once the rolls are in place take both sides of her hair and pull over the top of the rolls and secure all the hair with an elastic.
We finished off this style by putting ringlets in her hair with the flat iron.  Below is the only side view we could get taken.

Toddler Sides Rolled

Since my toddlers hair is so thin and she has such a sensitive head we do a lot of rolls.
So here is another fun cute roll style for toddlers.
I started the roll on the left side along the front (bang area) of her head and rolled it toward her ear a little then turned it back towards the center of her head as shown below.
Next I rolled the right side of her head back to meet the left side as shown below.
I secured the 2 rolls together with an elastic.
Last I used the flat iron to put ringlets in her hair.
The finished side view below.  She asked for a flower at the last minute.

Toddler Sides Up

Simple easy toddler style.
First make a square part on the left side of her head and secure with an elastic.
Next take a small amount of hair across the front top of her head.  I secured it with an elastic on the right side of the part as shown below.
Then I pulled both ponytails and the rest of her sides up into a final ponytail.
Last step is I used a flat iron and made ringlets in her hair.

French braids to Sides Up

I started this style by making a diagonal thin french braid.  I braided a little ways down and secured with an elastic.
Then I made a 2nd french braid that lays parallel  to the first.
Then take the sides and pull them up over the top of the braids.
I finished off the style by wrapping her hair around the elastic.
